THE TALL STORY
Once upon a wine… just kidding, we won’t take up too much of your precious wine-drinking time with the whole tall tale, but the long and short of it is:
Tall Horse wines are for those who like to enjoy a good glass of quality vino,
without all the nose-in-the-air-ness that seems to follow other wines around. We’re all for wines that are easier to drink than they are to pronounce (honestly, what’s more useless than the ‘t’ in Merlot?)
So please, throw everything you know (or don’t know) about wine out the winedow*, and simply enjoy our different varietals and different take on wine.

The grapes used to make this vivacious white wine come from the Breedekloof wine region, where the cold, wet winters and dry, warm summers provide the ideal breeding ground for this cultivar. Pinot Grigio is one of the season’s earliest ripening grapes, which means the crop is greeted with extra song and dance by our harvest and winemaking teams, raring to go after their year-end break.
GESTATION
In the cellar, the grapes are sorted, crushed and separated from the skins to ensure a brilliant clear colour. Cold fermentation follows at 14°C for 3 weeks. The dry fermented wine is then racked off the primary lees and stays on the fine lees for 5 months for voluptuous body and mouthfeel.
